The resort offers a range of choices of modern land and water villas accompanied by one-stop amenities for best convenience experience. The development will provide a welcoming space for guests to live light, unleash creativity, amplify natural feelings in a dreamy state. The variety in architectural form is apparent throughout the island yet it is somehow all connected by the elegance use of curvature. The curvature on every design of the building helps to give a sense of soothing experience and to reflect the natural sorrounding. Jakarta, Indonesia Year: 2021 Status: Design Development Size: 3,180 sqm The project located on a high-end residential area in the heart of Jakarta. We strive to challange the norm of residential architecture in the area, introducing a hexagonal pod-like column as its main feature of the design. The column shape and appearance create a dynamic space underneath it. The compound is designed as a coutyard with an inward orientation as the main view. Thus, the main rooms are placed along the perimeter of the site while on the centre sets a 25 meter lap pool and a cozy tea house to wind down from the fast paced lifestyle.&nbsp; <img width="3840" Size: 508 sqm Frankel Residence sits on land contains of a bungalow house. The owner brief is to conceptualise a low-maintained, clean and modern looking house that suits the needs of a couple. On top of that, the owner desires to have a home that is bright and open. By minimizing the house plot as little as possible, the final design resulted in a 3-storey building, with expansive outdoor area around the house.The façade is designed to state the different storey of the building by implementing different use yet cohesive material which makes it as a whole. The box formal languange is brought up to differentiate the building from the rest of the houses in neighbouring area and gives modern and minimal statement. Cross ventilation plays an important role, from which opening is apparent element in the design to tackle the hot and humid of the tropics.&nbsp; &nbsp;The ground plane is dedicated for semi-public zone which hosts the guest living, dining &amp; kitchen as well as guest bedroom and service area. While the first floor is occupied as private zone where the main and kids bedroom located as well as living and praying area. The rooftop living room, second kids bedroom and service area are located on the floor above it.&nbsp;The material palette is reduced to three main element of unfinished concrete, wood and black paint. The floorplan layout and usage of the multifunctional space of 64 -71 sqm has almost no limits. With this in mind the project intervention responds by taking an approach to built a structure which conveys a sense of lightness and minimality. This concept is expressed through the choice of contruction method of the chapel with simple and clean structure. The characteristic of the structure is intended to create harmony with nature and to subtly respect the existing ruins. The chapel finds itself situated at the furthest point of the island facing the sea behind the hill to take advantage the unobstructed view of the ocean. It is located away from the existing ruins so as to not obstruct the authenticity of the island characteristic. The chapel is orientated along the West and East axis to create a seamless plane between the chapel and the sea. &nbsp; As visitors walk down the hill they are greeted by a wooden platform which guides them into the chapel. This element emphasises a process of cleansing and transition between the outer and inner world. The chapel is designed as a semi enclosed structure clad with timber planks. The bright timber cladding gives a sense of enclosure, warmth and comfort againts the moderatly windy weather on the island. With the ocean in the background, it acts as a stimuli to evoke a sense of emptiness.
